Here! Hear! Experimental Films About Place & Sound

Co-curated with Laurel Petty for Experiments in Cinema, April 20, 2012, Albuquerque, NM. A 57-minute program exploring relationships between place and sound in short epxerimental documentaries from the past several years.  The program includes work by:  Bryan Konefsky, Peter Snowdon, Laurel Petty, Sharita Towne, Dustin Zemel, Aggie Ebrahimi Bazaz, Dara Greenwald & Ona Mirkinson, Cindy Stillwell, Pam Minty & Alain LeTourneau, and Julie Perini.  Perini's travel was supported by the Regional Arts & Culture Council, the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque Department of Cinematic Arts, and Basement Films.


Tough Stuff from the Buff

Co-curated with David Gracon & Marc Moscato as a touring program, 2008-2009. A 70-minute program of films and videos about the city of Buffalo produced by Buffalo artists in the 1990s and 2000s.  The program includes work by: Gabriella Citriniti, Tony Conrad, Terry Cuddy, Critical Art Ensemble, Chris Ernst, David Gracon, Stephanie Gray, Paris Henderson, Esther Johnson, Meg Knowles, Marc Moscato, Julie Perini, The Real Dream Cabaret, and Kelly Spivey, and it includes a 1980s commercial promoting Buffalo by WKBW.
